Staff Accountant

Our client, a growing publicly traded company, is seeking strong Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting group within the Greater Los Angeles area.
Main Duties &
Responsibilities:
Responsible for review and processing of heavy volume accounts payables including matching, batching, and coding
Perform account reconciliations, account analysis, and troubleshoot discrepancies
Review and process expense reports
Prepare electronic transfers and payments, and check runs
Assist with monthly cash forecasts, various financial and ad hoc analysis
Maintain vendor accounts including W-9's and 1099's
Assist with month end close and quarter end close
Assist with special projects as assigned by management team
Assist with administrative support and payroll processing as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
Two plus years of full cycle accounts payable and general accounting experience
Intermediate to advance Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to interface with various levels of management team
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
